Human Tissue-type plasminogen activator (PLAT) ELISA Kit

A Sandwich ELISA Kit from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of human Tissue-type plasminogen activator (PLAT), also known as t-PA, in biological samples. The kit is intended for research use only and is reactive with human samples.

The assay has a detection range of 0.156-10 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.056 ng/mL. Intra-assay CV is 4.2% and inter-assay CV is 7.9%. Linearity has been evaluated in serum (91-102%, 86-98%, 110-120%, 82-91% at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions), EDTA plasma (102-112%, 94-104%, 82-92%, 106-116%), and heparin plasma (93-102%, 86-98%, 97-105%, 107-116%). Recovery is 98% (range 92-104%) for serum and 100% (range 94-106%) for plasma. Specificity is directed at natural and recombinant human Tissue-type plasminogen activator.

The target protein is a secreted serine protease that converts plasminogen to plasmin by hydrolyzing a single Arg-Val bond, playing a role in fibrinolysis, tissue remodeling and degradation, cell migration, and neuronal migration. It is referenced under UniProt P00750 and is located in the extracellular space.
