Human Tissue factor pathway inhibitor (TFPI) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of human Tissue factor pathway inhibitor (TFPI) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. TFPI is a key regulator of the blood coagulation cascade, and dysregulation of its levels has been implicated in various thrombotic disorders, making it a valuable biomarker for cardiovascular research.

The assay uses colorimetric readout and specifically recognises natural and recombinant human TFPI. Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.312-20ng/mL, a sensitivity of 0.11ng/mL, intra-assay CV of 4.2% and inter-assay CV of 7.9%. Linearity has been evaluated in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma across serial dilutions.

Functionally, TFPI inhibits factor X (Xa) directly and, in an Xa-dependent manner, inhibits VIIa/tissue factor activity, possessing antithrombotic action and the ability to associate with lipoproteins in plasma. The kit is supplied for research use only.
