Targeting the tigger transposable element-derived protein 5 (TIGD5), this Assay Genie ELISA kit supports quantitative measurement of an under-characterized nuclear DNA-binding factor encoded at chromosomal locus 8q24.3 (UniProt Q53EQ6). The TIGD5 protein is a 642-amino-acid, approximately 69 kDa member of the tigger subfamily of the pogo superfamily of DNA transposons, sharing distant homology with Tc1 and mariner transposases and sequence similarity to mammalian centromere protein B.

The kit uses a colorimetric method read against a recombinant calibrator curve on a pre-coated microplate, with all assay components supplied in a single pack of reagents including detection antibody, standards, wash buffer, diluent, TMB substrate, and stop solution.
