Quantitative immunoassay for measuring the human TIE1 receptor in research samples. TIE1 is an endothelial cell-surface tyrosine kinase that participates in vascular development, angiogenesis, and remodeling of the blood vasculature. Because it lacks a clearly identified ligand of its own, TIE1 is generally studied through heterodimeric interactions with the related TIE2 receptor and through soluble fragments generated by proteolytic cleavage of the extracellular domain.

This Assay Genie ELISA kit enables researchers to quantify circulating TIE1 in human serum or plasma, supporting studies of endothelial activation in tumor angiogenesis, sepsis, diabetic vascular complications, and inflammatory vascular injury. The kit is supplied in a microplate format providing reagents for 96 determinations and produces a colorimetric readout.
