The Human TIA1 ELISA Kit from Assay Genie supports quantitative measurement of TIA1 (T-cell-restricted intracellular antigen-1), a 43 kDa RNA-binding protein that drives stress granule assembly and translational silencing under cellular stress. Mutations in the TIA1 gene are linked to Welander distal myopathy, and altered TIA1 expression has been reported in models of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and frontotemporal dementia, making the kit useful for biomarker studies in these neuromuscular and neurodegenerative disease areas.

The assay follows a sandwich immunoassay architecture with a colorimetric endpoint, accepting human serum and plasma specimens.
