TSHR (Thyroid Stimulating Hormone Receptor) is a G-protein coupled receptor that mediates TSH-driven signaling in thyroid follicular cells, regulating thyrocyte growth, hormone biosynthesis, and iodide uptake. The Assay Genie Human Thyroid Stimulating Hormone Receptor (TSHR) ELISA Kit provides a quantitative immunoassay platform for measuring receptor protein abundance in human research specimens derived from cultured thyrocytes, biopsy material, and experimental models of Graves' disease or autoimmune thyroiditis.

The protocol follows a sequential incubation and wash workflow, with signal development read on a standard microplate absorbance instrument. Reagents supplied include a pre-coated 96-assay plate, biotinylated detection antibody, streptavidin-HRP conjugate, TMB substrate, stop solution, wash buffer, and a calibrated standard set for generating an eight-point curve. The procedure accommodates cell lysates and tissue homogenates, making it applicable to in vitro thyroid research, signaling studies, and investigations of autoantibody-mediated receptor activation.

Unopened components should be refrigerated and protected from light until the expiration date printed on the kit label. Allow reagents to equilibrate to room temperature before beginning the assay, and aliquot the standard and detection antibody to minimize repeated freeze-thaw cycles. The kit is supplied in a single-use format intended for research use only and is not validated for clinical diagnostic decision-making.
