Human Thyroglobulin (TG) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA Kit enables quantitative measurement of human thyroglobulin (Tg) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a colorimetric detection format and is specific for natural and recombinant human thyroglobulin, with reactivity limited to human samples.

Reported performance includes a detection range of 1.25-80ng/mL, a sensitivity of 0.3ng/mL, an intra-assay CV of 3.5% and an inter-assay CV of 7.9%. Linearity in serum is 91-103%, 92-103%, 90-101% and 91-101% at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions respectively. EDTA plasma shows 97-107%, 100-108%, 94-104% and 89-99%, and heparin plasma shows 85-94%, 90-100%, 95-104% and 80-90% across the same series. Recovery averages 86% in serum (range 80-92%) and 88% in plasma (range 82-94%).

Thyroglobulin is a secreted homodimeric glycoprotein that acts as the precursor of the iodinated thyroid hormones thyroxine (T4) and triiodothyronine (T3); the kit is intended for research use only and is associated with the cancer research area. The kit is supplied with a dismountable ELISA microplate, lyophilized standard, sample and assay diluents, detection reagents, wash buffer, substrate, stop solution and plate sealer.
