Human Thymopentin ELISA Kit

This competitive ELISA from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative measurement of thymopentin in human biological samples. The assay is coated with antigen and uses a colorimetric detection method, with reactivity confirmed for samples including serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples.

The kit delivers a sensitivity of 0.938 ng/mL with a working range of 1.563–100 ng/mL, supporting research into this peptide hormone's role in immune regulation. Thymopentin (synonym TP5) is associated with modulating T-cell function and promoting immune response, and abnormal levels have been linked to autoimmune disorders, immune deficiencies, and inflammatory conditions.

Validation data shows linearity across serum (86–100%), EDTA plasma (82–101%), and heparin plasma (81–100%) at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8. Recovery ranges are reported as serum 95–102% (average 95%), EDTA plasma 86–101% (average 93%), and heparin plasma 92–103% (average 97%). The kit is stored at 2–8°C (sealed) and must not be cryopreserved. The protocol follows a standard competitive ELISA workflow with incubation at 37°C and absorbance reading at 450 nm.
