Human Thymidine kinase 2 ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative detection of human thymidine kinase 2, mitochondrial (TK2). The assay uses a colorimetric detection method and has been validated for use with human serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, showing specificity for natural and recombinant TK2.

Performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.78–50 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.37 ng/mL. Reported precision is an intra-assay CV of 5.2% and an inter-assay CV of 8.9%. Spike-and-recovery is given as 99% (range 93–105%) for serum and 101% (range 95–107%) for plasma, with linearity data provided across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma dilutions.

TK2 is a deoxyribonucleoside kinase that phosphorylates thymidine, deoxycytidine and deoxyuridine within the mitochondrial matrix, where it functions as a monomer (UniProt O00142). The kit is supplied for research use only.
