Assay Genie's Human Thrombospondin-2 PharmaGenie ELISA Kit enables quantitative measurement of THBS2, a matricellular glycoprotein central to collagen fibrillogenesis, extracellular matrix remodeling, and modulation of angiogenesis. THBS2 is actively investigated as a circulating biomarker in idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, cardiac fibrosis with preserved ejection fraction, and several solid tumors including pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma, where elevated serum levels correlate with disease stage and prognosis. The assay supports wound healing research, tumor microenvironment studies, and fibrotic pathway investigations using cell culture supernatant, plasma, or serum matrices.
