The Assay Genie Human Thrombospondin 1 (THBS1) ELISA quantitatively measures TSP-1, a ~450 kDa homotrimeric matricellular glycoprotein that inhibits angiogenesis, activates latent TGF-β1, and drives platelet aggregation at sites of vascular injury. The antibody pair specifically recognizes the human THBS1 protein with no significant cross-reactivity reported for analogous species orthologs.
