Human Thrombospondin-1 ELISA Kit

This Sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie is intended for the quantitative measurement of human thrombospondin-1 in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The colorimetric assay uses a double-antibody sandwich format and is read at 450 nm, with a reported sensitivity of 1.875 ng/mL and a working range of 3.125–200 ng/mL.

Thrombospondin-1 regulates cell-to-cell and cell-to-matrix interactions and contributes to angiogenesis, inflammation, and tissue repair. Its dysregulation has been linked to cancer, cardiovascular disorders, and fibrosis, supporting its use as a biomarker in related research. Unopened reagents are stored at 2–8°C for up to 12 months.

Validated linearity in serum is 96–105% (1:2), 85–104% (1:4) and 85–103% (1:8); in EDTA plasma 82–98%, 83–99% and 87–100%; and in heparin plasma 80–97%, 84–94% and 82–94%. Recovery ranges are 85–104% for serum (average 96%), 95–105% for EDTA plasma (average 100%) and 89–100% for heparin plasma (average 95%).
