Human Thrombopoietin (THPO) ELISA Kit

A Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of human Thrombopoietin (THPO) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay shows reactivity to human samples and detects natural and recombinant human Thrombopoietin, supporting research applications in cancer and the study of hematopoiesis. Also known as C-mpl ligand, Megakaryocyte colony-stimulating factor, Megakaryocyte growth and development factor, and MGDF, the target is a secreted lineage-specific cytokine affecting the proliferation and maturation of megakaryocytes from their committed progenitor cells and is described as a major physiological regulator of circulating platelets.

The stated detection range is 15.6-1000pg/mL with a sensitivity of 9.1pg/mL. Intra-assay CV is 5.6% and inter-assay CV is 10.2%. Linearity has been assessed in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma across serial dilutions. Spike-recovery averages 101% for serum (range 95-107%) and 103% for plasma (range 97-109%). The detection method is colorimetric.
