Carboxypeptidase B2 (CPB2), commonly referred to as Thrombin Activatable Fibrinolysis Inhibitor (TAFI), is a zinc-dependent metallocarboxypeptidase zymogen that links coagulation and fibrinolysis. Upon activation by the thrombin–thrombomodulin complex, TAFIa removes C-terminal lysine residues from partially degraded fibrin, suppressing plasmin generation and prolonging clot dissolution. Altered circulating TAFI levels have been associated with venous thromboembolism, ischemic stroke, atherosclerosis, and inflammatory disease, making quantitative antigen measurement valuable in cardiovascular and hematology research.

This ELISA Kit from Assay Genie enables quantitative measurement of human TAFI in plasma samples. Configured for 96 assays, the kit uses matched antibody pairs directed against human TAFI, with a recombinant antigen standard included for calibration. Plasma samples are applied directly, and TAFI concentrations are interpolated from the standard curve generated in each run. The microplate format accommodates both standard-curve replicates and larger sample cohorts in coagulation and fibrinolysis studies.

Reagents should be stored refrigerated and protected from light prior to use, and the kit is supplied for research use only.
