Human Thioredoxin (TXN) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of human Thioredoxin (TXN), also known by the synonyms ADF, SASP, Trx, TRDX, TRX and TRX1, in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay is reactive with human samples and detects both natural and recombinant human Thioredoxin.

Performance specifications include a detection range of 0.78-50ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.195ng/mL, read using a colorimetric detection method. Precision is reported with an intra-assay CV of 4.7% and an inter-assay CV of 7.2%. Recovery in serum averaged 99% (range 93-105%) and in plasma averaged 101% (range 95-107%). Linearity has been demonstrated across dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 for serum (101-111%, 108-118%, 86-95%, 104-113%), EDTA plasma (85-93%, 106-115%, 107-117%, 83-93%) and heparin plasma (82-95%, 101-113%, 85-95%, 109-119%).

Thioredoxin (UniProt P10599; NCBI Gene ID 7295) is a redox-active protein with a documented molecular weight of 9,452 Da. It is localised to the nucleus, cytoplasm and is secreted, and the kit is listed for research applications in epigenetics. The kit is supplied for research use only.
