Human Thiopurine S-methyltransferase (TPMT) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie intended for the quantitative measurement of human Thiopurine S-methyltransferase (TPMT) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids. The assay is reactive with human samples and uses a colorimetric detection method.

TPMT catalyzes the S-methylation of thiopurine drugs such as 6-mercaptopurine, and variation in its activity is associated with differences in drug response and toxicity. The kit is specific for natural and recombinant human TPMT and is supplied for research use only.

Reported performance includes a detection range of 0.78-50ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.33ng/mL. Intra-assay CV is 5.6% and inter-assay CV is 9.8%. Mean recovery is 103% for serum (range 97-109%) and 105% for plasma (range 99-111%). Linearity has been evaluated for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma across serial dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16.
