Human TGF-beta RI/ALK-5 ELISA Kit

This Sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative measurement of human TGF-beta receptor type-1 (TGFBR1), also known as ALK-5. The assay uses a double-antibody sandwich format with colorimetric detection, and the optical density is read at 450 nm using a standard microplate reader. A biotinylated detection antibody and HRP-conjugated streptavidin combine with a TMB substrate, producing a colour change proportional to analyte concentration.

Validated for use with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples of human origin, the kit ships with all reagents needed to run the protocol, including a Bradford reagent for sample normalisation. Quoted performance characteristics include a measuring range of 31.25-2000 pg/mL and a sensitivity of 18.75 pg/mL. Spike-and-recovery values are reported as 85-103% for serum (average 93%), 94-105% for EDTA plasma (average 97%) and 89-104% for heparin plasma (average 91%), with linearity between 80-104% across 1:2 to 1:8 dilutions.
