Human TGF-beta-activated kinase 1 and MAP3K7-binding protein 3 (TAB3) ELISA Kit

The Assay Genie Sandwich ELISA Kit is designed for the quantitative detection of human TGF-beta-activated kinase 1 and MAP3K7-binding protein 3 (TAB3) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a colorimetric detection method and recognises both natural and recombinant human TAB3. Also known by synonyms including TAK1-binding protein 3, TAB-3, NF-kappa-B-activating protein 1, Mitogen-activated protein kinase kinase kinase 7-interacting protein 3 and MAP3K7IP3, the target is the human TAB3 protein (UniProt Q8N5C8).

Reported performance figures from the manufacturer include a detection range of 0.156-10ng/mL, a sensitivity of 0.098ng/mL, an intra-assay CV of 4.3% and an inter-assay CV of 9.2%. Linearity was validated at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 in serum (86-99%, 90-98%, 102-115%, 104-116%), EDTA plasma (102-111%, 84-94%, 98-108%, 101-113%) and heparin plasma (97-107%, 83-93%, 102-110%, 85-95%). Recovery averaged 85% (range 80-91%) for serum and 87% (range 81-93%) for plasma.

TAB3 functions as an adaptor linking MAP3K7/TAK1 and TRAF6 or TRAF2, mediating MAP3K7 activation in the IL1 and TNF signalling pathways and contributing to activation of NF-kappa-B and AP1 transcription factors, with isoform 2 noted as a potential oncogenic factor.
