Human Tetraspanin-14 (TSPAN14) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this ELISA kit enables quantitative measurement of human Tetraspanin-14 (TSPAN14), a multi-pass transmembrane protein of the tetraspanin family involved in cell adhesion, migration, and signal transduction. The kit is designed for the accurate detection of natural and recombinant human Tetraspanin-14 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids.

TSPAN14 is also referred to by the synonyms DC-TM4F2, Transmembrane 4 superfamily member 14, Tspan-14, and TM4SF14. It regulates the maturation and trafficking of the transmembrane metalloprotease ADAM10, negatively regulates ADAM10-mediated cleavage of GP6, and promotes ADAM10-mediated cleavage of CDH5. The protein localises to the cell membrane as a multi-pass membrane protein and is catalogued in UniProt under accession Q8NG11.

Assay performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.312-20ng/ml and a sensitivity of 0.2ng/mL, with intra-assay CV of 4.2% and inter-assay CV of 7.5%. Linearity was verified for serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma across dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16; recovery averaged 91% for serum (range 85-97%) and 93% for plasma (range 87-99%). The kit uses colorimetric detection in a sandwich ELISA format and is intended for research use only.
