SPOCK2 (Testican-2, TICN2) is a modular chondroitin sulfate proteoglycan of the SPARC/osteonectin family of extracellular matrix proteins, encoded on chromosome 10q21.3. It is expressed in neurons, glial cells, neural progenitor populations, and a range of solid tumor tissues. Researchers apply this Assay Genie kit to studies of extracellular matrix remodeling, hepatocellular carcinoma progression, gastric and lung adenocarcinoma invasion, Alzheimer's disease neurobiology, and neurogenesis, where Testican-2 modulates cell-matrix interactions and progenitor migration.

The kit is validated specifically for human SPOCK2 detection, with no significant cross-reactivity observed against mouse, rat, or other non-human species homologs in standardized testing. Each kit contains a pre-coated microplate, biotinylated detection antibody, recombinant human SPOCK2 standards, streptavidin-HRP conjugate, wash buffer, substrate, and stop solution.
