Human Teratocarcinoma-derived growth factor 1 (TDGF1) ELISA Kit

A sandwich-format ELISA kit from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of human Teratocarcinoma-derived growth factor 1 (TDGF1), a signalling protein also referred to as Cripto-1, CRGF, and CRIPTO. The assay is intended for use with human samples including serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants, and other biological fluids, and is suited to cancer-related research given TDGF1's reported involvement in embryonic development and tumorigenesis.

Manufacturer data reports a detection range of 62.5-4000 pg/mL and a sensitivity of 21.8 pg/mL, with an intra-assay coefficient of variation of 4.6% and inter-assay CV of 7.3%. Spiked serum samples showed an average recovery of 93% (range 87-99%) and spiked plasma samples an average recovery of 95% (range 89-101%).

The kit is supplied for research use only. TDGF1 is described as potentially playing a role in the determination of epiblastic cells that subsequently give rise to the mesoderm, and the protein is reported to interact with the activin type-1 receptor ACVR1B.
