Human TEP1/Telomerase component 1 ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie uses a double-antibody configuration with colorimetric detection for quantitative measurement of TEP1 (Telomerase Component 1) in human samples. Compatible specimen types include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples.

The protocol covers reagent equilibration to room temperature, primary incubation of standards and samples on the pre-coated plate at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotin-labeled detection antibody incubation at 37°C for 60 minutes, HRP-streptavidin binding at 37°C for 30 minutes, TMB substrate development in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and absorbance reading at 450 nm after stop solution. Reagents are stored at 2-8°C for 12 months.

Linearity in serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma at 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions returned 86-100%, 91-96%, and 88-99% for serum; 82-97%, 90-101%, and 88-93% for EDTA plasma; and 84-98%, 82-100%, and 84-100% for heparin plasma. Spike recovery ranges were 90-105% (serum, average 97%), 91-98% (EDTA plasma, average 94%), and 89-105% (heparin plasma, average 99%). TEP1 is part of the telomerase complex contributing to telomere length maintenance and cellular senescence, and its dysregulation has been associated with aging, cancer, and other age-related diseases.
