Human Tenomodulin (TNMD) ELISA Kit

A reliable sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative detection of human Tenomodulin (TNMD). The kit is intended for research use only and is suitable for measuring TNMD in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids.

Tenomodulin is a protein involved in tendon formation and maintenance, and changes in its levels have been associated with tendon injuries and disorders, making it a valuable biomarker for studying tendon-related biology and potential therapies. The kit targets the human protein (UniProt Q9H2S6), with documented specificity for natural and recombinant human Tenomodulin, and is intended for cardiovascular research use. Reported synonyms for the target include Chondromodulin-1-like protein, Chondromodulin-I-like protein, Myodulin, Tendin, ChM1L, UNQ771/PRO1565, TeM and CHM1L. The protein may act as an angiogenesis inhibitor.

Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.312–20 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.12 ng/mL. Intra-assay CV is 3.9% and inter-assay CV is 7.5%. In spiked recovery testing, serum showed an average recovery of 100% (range 94–106%) and plasma an average of 102% (range 96–108%). Linearity has been demonstrated across dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16 for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma.
