Description

A colorimetric sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative measurement of human Tenascin-X (TNXB) in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The assay uses a double-antibody sandwich detection method with a stated sensitivity of 0.938 ng/mL and a working range of 1.563-100 ng/mL. Kit components are supplied for storage at 2-8°C for 12 months.

Tenascin-X is described by Assay Genie as a key extracellular matrix protein involved in tissue development and repair, making it a valuable marker for studying physiological and pathological processes. The kit is positioned for applications in cell biology, cancer research, and tissue engineering, and for investigating Tenascin-X in conditions such as connective tissue disorders, fibrosis, and wound healing.

The assay procedure includes reagent and plate preparation, primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotin-labelled detection antibody binding for 60 minutes, HRP-Streptavidin binding for 30 minutes, TMB substrate colour development for 10–20 minutes in the dark, and absorbance reading at 450 nm after addition of stop solution. Reported recovery ranges are 93-100% in serum (average 95%), 92-100% in EDTA plasma (average 94%), and 90-104% in heparin plasma (average 96%).
