Human Tenascin (TNC) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this sandwich-format ELISA kit enables quantitative measurement of Human Tenascin-C (TNC) in human samples. Tenascin-C is an extracellular matrix glycoprotein with roles in cell adhesion, migration, proliferation, and tissue remodelling, and its dysregulation has been linked to cancer, fibrosis, and inflammatory diseases.

The assay uses a colorimetric detection method. Reported performance includes a detection range of 78-5000 pg/mL and a sensitivity of 20 pg/mL. Intra-assay CV is 4.6% and inter-assay CV is 8.2%. Linearity has been demonstrated across dilutions (1:2, 1:4, 1:8, 1:16) for serum (88-115%), EDTA plasma (92-113%), and heparin plasma (94-123%). Average recovery is 88% (82-94%) for serum and 90% (84-96%) for plasma.

The kit is intended for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids, and is specific for natural and recombinant human Tenascin. TNC (UniProt P24821) is a homohexameric, disulfide-linked protein with a reported molecular weight of 171,360 Da that is secreted into the extracellular space and matrix. It is a ligand for integrins alpha-8/beta-1, alpha-9/beta-1, alpha-V/beta-3, and alpha-V/beta-6, and has been implicated in neuronal guidance, synaptic plasticity, and regeneration.
