Description

A sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie for the quantitative measurement of human TARC (Thymus Activation Regulated Chemokine), also known as CCL17, ABCD-2, SCYA17 and Small-inducible cytokine A17, in serum, plasma and other biological fluids. The assay uses a colorimetric detection method and is associated with the UniProt reference Q92583.

TARC is a chemokine that regulates immune responses and inflammation by attracting specific immune cells to sites of inflammation. The kit is intended for research use in immunology, inflammation, cancer, cell biology, tumor immunity and infection immunity, and for biomarker studies of allergies, autoimmune and inflammatory diseases. The manufacturer states that the kit recognizes human TARC with no significant cross-reactivity or interference from analogues.

Manufacturer data sheets cite a detection range of 31.25–2000 pg/mL, a sample volume of 100 µL and reported sensitivities of 18.75 pg/mL, 10.5 pg/mL and 11.6 pg/mL across configurations. Recovery is given as 80%–120% in one specification, with matrix-specific ranges such as 80%–102% in serum, 81%–100% in EDTA plasma and 80%–89% in heparin plasma in another, and 85%–97% in serum, 83%–99% in EDTA plasma and 85%–97% in heparin plasma in a third. Intra-assay CV is reported below 8% or 10% and inter-assay CV below 10% or 12% depending on the configuration.
