Human TAGLN3/Transgelin-3 ELISA Kit

A Sandwich ELISA Kit from Assay Genie for the quantitative measurement of human transgelin-3 (TAGLN3) in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The kit uses a double-antibody sandwich format with colorimetric detection and is reactive with human specimens only. Transgelin-3, also known as smooth muscle protein 22-alpha, has been linked to cell migration, invasion and contractility, and its dysregulation has been associated with diseases such as cancer and cardiovascular disorders.

Reported performance includes a sensitivity of 0.469 ng/mL and an assay range of 0.781–50 ng/mL. Linearity at 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions was 85–105%, 89–105% and 86–98% for serum (n = 5); 83–98%, 83–96% and 82–97% for EDTA plasma (n = 5); and 84–98%, 80–94% and 84–96% for heparin plasma (n = 5). Recovery ranges were 85–105% for serum (average 94%), 86–105% for EDTA plasma (average 95%) and 90–97% for heparin plasma (average 95%).

The assay workflow involves equilibrating reagents to room temperature, a 90-minute primary incubation at 37°C, a 60-minute biotin-labelled detection antibody step, a 30-minute HRP-Streptavidin binding step, 10–20 minutes of TMB substrate development in the dark, and absorbance reading at 450 nm after stop solution is added. The kit should be stored at 2–8°C for 12 months.
