Human TACE/ADAM17 ELISA Kit

This Sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative measurement of human TACE/ADAM17. Using a double-antibody sandwich format with colorimetric detection, the assay delivers a sensitivity of 18.75 pg/mL across a working range of 31.25–2000 pg/mL. It is validated for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, with reported linearity of 80–105% across tested dilutions and recovery between 86–102% depending on the sample matrix.

TACE, also known as ADAM17, TNF-alpha convertase, CD156b, CSVP, and ADAM metallopeptidase domain 18, is a metalloproteinase that mediates shedding of cell surface proteins such as growth factors, cytokines, receptors, and adhesion molecules. This activity plays a critical role in inflammation, cancer, and immune response modulation, making the kit a relevant tool for signal transduction research. The protocol includes incubating standards and samples on the pre-coated plate at 37°C for 90 minutes, followed by binding with a biotin-labelled detection antibody, HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) incubation, TMB colour development in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and absorbance measurement at 450 nm after stop solution is added. The kit is intended for storage at 2–8°C for 12 months.
