Human T-cell surface antigen CD2 (CD2) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit enables quantitative measurement of human T-cell surface antigen CD2 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants, and other biological fluids. The assay targets both natural and recombinant human T-cell surface antigen CD2, a cell surface antigen expressed on T cells that interacts with lymphocyte function-associated antigen (LFA-3) and CD48/BCM1 to mediate adhesion between T-cells and other cell types, with its cytoplasmic domain implicated in signaling during T-cell triggering.

The kit uses a colorimetric detection method and delivers a detection range of 0.312–20 ng/mL with a sensitivity of 0.1 ng/mL. Intra-assay CV is 5.2% and inter-assay CV is 7.8%. Linearity was assessed in serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma (N=5) at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16, with serum ranges of 89–98%, 87–97%, 107–116%, and 87–96%; EDTA plasma 101–110%, 84–97%, 92–104%, and 94–104%; and heparin plasma 109–117%, 102–112%, 109–117%, and 84–94%. Recovery averaged 89% (range 83–95%) in serum and 91% (range 85–97%) in plasma.
