Human T-box transcription factor TBX1 (TBX1) ELISA Kit

Designed for the quantitative detection of human T-box transcription factor TBX1 in biological samples, this Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie provides a reliable tool for research into developmental biology and related disease mechanisms. The kit is intended for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, and is reactive with human samples only. Specificity is defined for natural and recombinant human TBX1.

The assay delivers a detection range of 0.312-20ng/mL with a sensitivity of 0.098ng/mL. Reproducibility is supported by an intra-assay CV of 5.3% and an inter-assay CV of 8.9%. Linearity has been validated across dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16 in serum (104-117%, 104-113%, 100-109%, 97-106%), EDTA plasma (102-112%, 83-91%, 94-103%, 110-120%) and heparin plasma (115-127%, 95-104%, 90-100%, 92-103%) using N=5. Recovery testing returned averages of 101% (range 95-107%) for serum and 103% (range 97-109%) for plasma.

TBX1 is a probable transcriptional regulator involved in developmental processes and is required for normal development of the pharyngeal arch arteries. It localises to the nucleus, interacts with DSCR6, and is associated with DiGeorge syndrome, velocardiofacial syndrome and conotruncal heart malformations. The kit is for research use only.
