Human Syntaxin-1A/STX1A ELISA Kit

Assay Genie supplies a Sandwich ELISA, Double Antibody immunoassay kit for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Syntaxin-1A (STX1A) concentrations in serum, plasma and other biological fluids. It is designated for Research Use Only and is stored at 4°C for 6 months.

Manufacturer validation data reports intra-assay precision CV<8% and inter-assay precision CV<10%. Recovery was assessed in spiked matrices: serum (n=5) ranged 85-95% with an average of 91%, EDTA plasma (n=5) ranged 87-101% with an average of 95%, and UFH plasma (n=5) ranged 86-103% with an average of 92%. Linearity was demonstrated by serial dilution of spiked samples across serum, EDTA plasma and UFH plasma matrices.

Syntaxin-1A is described as a type IV membrane protein involved in the docking of synaptic vesicles at presynaptic active zones and may play a critical role in neurotransmitter exocytosis. It forms part of the SNARE core complex alongside SNAP25 and VAMP2. The protein is encoded by the STX1A gene (NCBI Gene ID: 6804; UniProt: Q16623), and three splice variant isoforms have been described.
