Human Syndecan 2/SDC2 ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of human Syndecan-2 (SDC2), a cell surface heparan sulfate proteoglycan involved in cell adhesion, migration and signaling. The assay uses a double-antibody sandwich format with a TMB-based colorimetric detection. Sensitivity is 0.188 ng/mL and the working range is 0.313-20 ng/mL.

The assay is compatible with human serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The procedure involves equilibrating reagents to room temperature, primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotin-labeled detection antibody binding at 37°C for 60 minutes, HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) incubation at 37°C for 30 minutes, TMB color development in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and absorbance reading at 450 nm after adding stop solution. Linearity in serum (n=5) spans 88-103% (1:2), 85-94% (1:4) and 80-100% (1:8); EDTA plasma (n=5) 91-100%, 87-98% and 80-100%; and heparin plasma (n=5) 92-105%, 82-101% and 90-94%. Average recovery is 97% across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma (n=5 each).

Dysregulation of Syndecan-2 has been associated with cancer, inflammatory disorders and cardiovascular diseases, making the kit relevant to research in disease development and progression. The target corresponds to UniProt entry P34741, and the kit is stored at 2-8°C for 12 months.
