Human Syndecan-1 (SDC1) ELISA Kit

A Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie for the sensitive and accurate detection of human Syndecan-1 (SDC1) levels. The kit uses a colorimetric detection method and is validated for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. It recognises natural and recombinant human Syndecan-1, which is also known by the synonyms CD138, SYND1 and SDC.

Syndecan-1 is a cell surface heparan sulfate proteoglycan that plays a crucial role in cell adhesion and signaling, and is involved in processes such as cell migration, proliferation and differentiation. Dysregulation of Syndecan-1 expression has been implicated in various diseases, including cancer, inflammation and fibrosis, highlighting its significance as a biomarker for disease pathology and progression. The kit is intended for research use only and is suited to applications in oncology, immunology and regenerative medicine.

Performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.156-10ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.098ng/mL. Intra-assay precision is 5.4% CV and inter-assay precision is 7.1% CV. Linearity in serum spans 88-98% to 104-112% across serial dilutions, EDTA plasma spans 85-95% to 111-120%, and heparin plasma spans 81-90% to 107-116%. Recovery averages 89% (range 83-95%) for serum and 91% (range 85-97%) for plasma.
