Human Synaptopodin/SYNPO ELISA Kit

A colorimetric Sandwich ELISA Kit from Assay Genie enables the in vitro quantitative determination of human synaptopodin (SYNPO) concentrations in serum, plasma, and other biological fluids, using a double antibody detection format.

Reported performance includes a sensitivity of 0.094ng/ml and a detection range of 0.156-10ng/ml. Recovery was evaluated in spiked matrices: serum (n=5) showed 87-100% with an average of 93%, EDTA plasma (n=5) showed 90-100% with an average of 95%, and UFH plasma (n=5) showed 85-98% with an average of 92%. Linearity was demonstrated by testing samples spiked with appropriate concentrations of human SYNPO and their serial dilutions, with intra-assay CV<8% and inter-assay CV<10%.

Synaptopodin is an actin-associated protein that may play a role in modulating actin-based shape and motility of dendritic spines and renal podocyte foot processes, and is described as essential for the formation of spine apparatuses in telencephalic neurons involved in synaptic plasticity. The kit is supplied with a dismountable ELISA microplate (8×12 strips), lyophilized standard, sample/standard dilution buffer, biotin-labeled antibody, antibody dilution buffer, HRP-streptavidin conjugate (SABC), SABC dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution, wash buffer (25X), and plate sealer.
