Human SURF1 ELISA Kit (HUFI06242)

SURF1 (Surfeit 1) is a highly conserved mitochondrial inner-membrane protein required for the assembly and stability of cytochrome c oxidase (Complex IV) in the electron transport chain. Loss-of-function mutations in SURF1 are the most frequent molecular cause of Leigh syndrome, a progressive neurodegenerative disorder of early childhood. This Assay Genie ELISA is supplied as a complete kit with a 96-well microplate, capture antibody, detection antibody, standards, substrate, and wash buffer, allowing researchers to quantify circulating human SURF1 in blood-derived samples. A sample volume of 100 uL is loaded per well, and absorbance readings are plotted against a standard curve to determine unknown concentrations. All kit components are intended for research use only and are not approved for diagnostic applications. Unopened kits should be stored refrigerated at 4 degrees C, while reconstituted standards and detection reagent are best held frozen at -20 degrees C in single-use aliquots and protected from light to preserve activity across multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
