Human Suppressor of cytokine signaling 1 (SOCS1) ELISA Kit

Assay Genie provides a sandwich ELISA kit for the quantitative measurement of human Suppressor of Cytokine Signaling 1 (SOCS1) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The kit is reactive with human samples and is intended for the detection of natural and recombinant human SOCS1 within the immunology research area. It is labelled for research use only.

Manufacturer specifications include a detection range of 0.156-10 ng/mL, a sensitivity of 0.072 ng/mL, an intra-assay CV of 3.2% and an inter-assay CV of 6.4%. Linearity was assessed in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma (N=5) at dilution factors of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16. Recovery has been reported at an average of 86% (range 80-92%) for serum and 88% (range 82-94%) for plasma. SOCS1, a member of the suppressor of cytokine signaling family (UniProt O15524) also known by synonyms including JAK-binding protein, STAT-induced STAT inhibitor 1, JAB, SSI-1 and TIP-3, functions as a classical negative feedback regulator of cytokine signal transduction and is involved in the negative regulation of cytokines that signal through the JAK/STAT3 pathway.
