Human Superoxide dismutase [Mn], mitochondrial (SOD2) ELISA Kit

It is designed for accurate measurement of MnSOD2 levels in human samples such as serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids.

Performance characteristics include a detection range of 31.2–2000 pg/mL and a sensitivity of 12 pg/mL, with an intra-assay CV of 5.5% and an inter-assay CV of 6.9%. The kit is specific for natural and recombinant human SOD2 (UniProt P04179), a homotetrameric mitochondrial matrix enzyme that destroys superoxide anion radicals normally produced within cells. Recovery in serum averages 92% (range 86–98%), and in plasma averages 94% (range 88–100%).
