The Assay Genie SUMO2/3 immunoassay supports quantitative detection of small ubiquitin-like modifier 2 and 3 conjugates in blood-derived specimens, enabling investigation of post-translational modification, heat shock response, and DNA damage repair pathways. Reconstitute lyophilized standards with the supplied diluent, aliquot reconstituted material, and store refrigerated to preserve binding activity; avoid more than two freeze-thaw cycles. The assay uses 100 µL of sample per well and is validated for reactivity with human SUMO2 and SUMO3 conjugates.

SUMO2 and SUMO3 share approximately 97 percent sequence identity and are often profiled together because they form polymeric chains on substrate lysine residues under oxidative and proteotoxic stress.
