Human SULF2/Sulfatase-2 ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the accurate quantification of human sulfatase 2 (SULF2) levels in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatants, cell or tissue lysates, and other liquid samples. The assay uses a double-antibody sandwich format with colorimetric detection (TMB substrate, absorbance read at 450 nm), and kits are intended to be stored at 2–8°C for 12 months.

Reported performance specifications include a sensitivity of 0.188 ng/mL and an assay range of 0.313–20 ng/mL. In validation studies, linearity for serum (n=5) across 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions was 86–98%, 93–101% and 92–99% respectively, with EDTA plasma at 86–99%, 85–101% and 82–99%, and heparin plasma at 83–98%, 85–100% and 81–95%. Recovery averaged 96% in serum, 97% in EDTA plasma and 98% in heparin plasma. The standard protocol involves primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotinylated detection antibody incubation for 60 minutes, HRP-streptavidin binding for 30 minutes, TMB colour development for 10–20 minutes in the dark, and absorbance reading at 450 nm.

Sulfatase 2 is a key enzyme involved in the regulation of sulfate metabolism and has been implicated in cell growth, differentiation and signalling. Dysregulation of its expression has been linked to cancer, developmental disorders and metabolic diseases, making it a useful biomarker for research into disease pathology and potential therapeutic interventions.
