Description

Designed by Assay Genie for the quantitative measurement of the Substance-P receptor (TACR1), this Sandwich ELISA Kit enables accurate detection of human TACR1 levels across a range of biological samples. The assay is intended for research use only.

The kit recognises natural and recombinant human Substance-P receptor with a detection range of 0.312–20 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.175 ng/mL. Reported intra-assay CV is 6.8% and inter-assay CV is 9.5%. Linearity has been characterised in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma across dilution series of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 (N=5), with serum recoveries averaging 109% (range 103–115%) and plasma recoveries averaging 111% (range 105–117%). Compatible sample types include serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids.

TACR1, also referred to as the NK-1 receptor or Tachykinin receptor 1, is a multi-pass cell membrane G-protein coupled receptor for the tachykinin neuropeptide substance P, with a binding affinity order of substance P > substance K > neuromedin-K. It is implicated in mediating pain perception and inflammatory responses, and its dysregulation has been associated with conditions including migraines, fibromyalgia and neuropathic pain, making it a valuable biomarker for pain and inflammation research. The UniProt reference for this target is P25103.
