Human Substance P ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of human TAC1, also known as Substance P, in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The colorimetric, double-antibody format provides a reliable tool for research into pain transmission, neurogenic inflammation, and related neurological conditions, including chronic pain states such as fibromyalgia and migraines.

Reported performance characteristics include a sensitivity of 2.813 pg/mL and a working range of 4.688–300 pg/mL. Linearity in serum (n=5) is 87-95% at 1:2, 89-100% at 1:4, and 87-105% at 1:8; EDTA plasma (n=5) gives 82-98%, 85-101%, and 82-91% across the same dilutions; heparin plasma (n=5) gives 82-98%, 81-99%, and 80-100%. Spike-and-recovery averages are 98% for serum (range 92-104%), 93% for EDTA plasma (range 86-103%), and 95% for heparin plasma (range 85-102%). The kit is intended for cell biology research and is stored at 2-8°C for 12 months.
