The STRAP protein (Serine-threonine kinase receptor-associated protein), also referred to as UNRIP, is a ~38 kDa WD40-repeat protein that participates in multiple signalling pathways. It associates with SMAD7 and the type I TGF-β receptor complex, modulates JNK activation, and contributes to spliceosome assembly via interaction with the PRP19 complex. Dysregulation of STRAP has been documented in colorectal, lung and breast cancers, making accurate quantification of human STRAP levels valuable for cell signalling and oncology research programmes.

This Assay Genie ELISA kit is configured in a microplate strip-well format, allowing unused wells to be reserved for additional targets. Reconstituted standards and biotinylated detection antibody are supplied in individual vials; the unopened kit is stored at 4°C and working solutions should be protected from light. The procedure involves adding 100 µL of prepared sample or standard to each well, generating a standard curve in-well, and reading absorbance on a conventional plate reader after stopping the enzymatic reaction.
