Human Steroid sulfatase protein ELISA Kit

A solid-phase immunoassay from Assay Genie enables the precise measurement of steroid sulfatase levels in human samples including serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Steroid sulfatase is a key enzyme involved in the metabolism of steroid hormones, playing a crucial role in hormone regulation. Dysregulation of steroid sulfatase activity has been linked to hormone-related cancers, inflammatory disorders, and reproductive issues, making it a valuable biomarker for disease research and therapeutic development.

This Sandwich ELISA uses a double antibody format and offers a sensitivity of 0.938 ng/mL with an assay range of 1.563-100 ng/mL. It is validated for human reactivity and stored at 2-8°C for 12 months. Linearity has been demonstrated in serum (87-103%, 82-98%, 82-98% at 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions; n=5), EDTA plasma (86-104%, 83-101%, 86-97% at 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8; n=5) and heparin plasma (86-98%, 83-99%, 80-100% at 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8; n=5). Recovery ranges from 85-101% (average 92%) in serum, 86-104% (average 95%) in EDTA plasma and 85-101% (average 95%) in heparin plasma (n=5).

The assay targets the STS protein, also known as Steryl-sulfate sulfohydrolase, Arylsulfatase C, ASC or ARSC1 (Uniprot P08842), within the metabolism research area.
