Human STEAP1 ELISA Kit

Assay Genie offers a Sandwich ELISA kit designed for the quantitative measurement of STEAP1 (Six Transmembrane Epithelial Antigen of the Prostate 1) in human samples. The assay uses a double-antibody sandwich format with colorimetric detection, and absorbance is read at 450 nm. Reported sensitivity is 0.234 ng/mL, with a working range of 0.391–25 ng/mL.

The kit is validated for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Linearity has been demonstrated in serum (89–103%, 89–100% and 93–104% at 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions), EDTA plasma (82–97%, 90–101% and 86–94%) and heparin plasma (80–96%, 87–100% and 82–98%). Recovery ranges from 85–104% in serum (average 96%), 86–105% in EDTA plasma (average 96%) and 86–105% in heparin plasma (average 98%).

STEAP1 is described as a protein involved in iron metabolism and the regulation of cellular processes, with dysregulation implicated in cancer, anemia and neurodegenerative disorders. Unopened kits are stored at 2–8°C for 12 months.
