Human STAU1 ELISA Kit (HUFI06297)

This quantitative immunoassay from Assay Genie enables measurement of human STAU1 protein in research specimens. STAU1 (Staufen double-stranded RNA-binding protein 1) is the central effector of the Staufen-mediated mRNA decay pathway, where it recognizes double-stranded STAU1 binding sites within the 3' UTRs of target transcripts and recruits UPF1 to trigger decay. STAU1 also participates in dendritic mRNA transport, translational regulation, stress granule assembly, and FMRP-associated neuronal pathways, making it relevant to studies of post-transcriptional gene regulation, synaptic plasticity, and cellular stress responses.

The microplate-format package provides all reagents required for a complete standard curve and sample analysis, with capacity for 96 individual determinations on a single plate. The colorimetric readout is compatible with standard absorbance plate readers. The protocol is suitable for tissue homogenates, cell lysates, and cell culture supernatant, and has been validated against serum-derived and plasma-derived matrices from human donors.
