Human Stathmin (STMN1) ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed for quantitative measurement of human stathmin (STMN1) levels in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids. It detects natural and recombinant human stathmin and is for research use only.

Performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.156–10 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.088 ng/mL. The intra-assay coefficient of variation is 7.9% and the inter-assay coefficient of variation is 11.2%.

Stathmin, also known as oncoprotein 18, regulates microtubule dynamics by preventing assembly and promoting disassembly of microtubules. Dysregulation of stathmin has been implicated in cancer metastasis, neurodegenerative diseases, and other pathological conditions, and phosphorylation at Ser-16 may be required for axon formation during neurogenesis. The kit is positioned within the neurosciences research area.
