Human Stabilin-1 (STAB1) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of human Stabilin-1 (STAB1) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The kit is intended for research use only and detects natural and recombinant human Stabilin-1, with a reported detection range of 0.156-10ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.056ng/mL. Precision is reported as an intra-assay CV of 3.5% and an inter-assay CV of 6.8%.

Stabilin-1 is a large transmembrane scavenger receptor primarily expressed on sinusoidal endothelial cells of the liver, spleen and lymph node. It acts as a scavenger receptor for acetylated low density lipoprotein, binds both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, and has been implicated in angiogenesis and in the delivery of newly synthesised CHID1/SI-CLP from the biosynthetic compartment to the endosomal/lysosomal system. Dysregulation of stabilin-1 has been linked to autoimmune disorders, infectious diseases and cancer, and detection of stabilin-1 levels can support research into inflammation, immune responses and disease pathology. Linearity has been validated in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma, with average recovery of 89% in serum (range 83-95%) and 91% in plasma (range 85-97%).
