Human Spondin-2 (SPON2) ELISA Kit

A high-quality sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the sensitive and precise measurement of Spondin-2 levels in human biological samples including serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids. The assay shows specificity for natural and recombinant human Spondin-2 and is intended for research use only.

The kit has a detection range of 15.6-1000pg/mL and a sensitivity of 10pg/mL. Precision is reported as an intra-assay CV of 5.0% and an inter-assay CV of 7.3%. Linearity was evaluated in serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma across dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16. Recovery averaged 107% (range 101-113%) for serum and 109% (range 103-115%) for plasma. Spondin-2 is a cell adhesion protein that promotes adhesion and outgrowth of hippocampal embryonic neurons, binds bacteria and their components, and functions as an opsonin for macrophage phagocytosis, binding bacterial lipopolysaccharide. The protein is secreted and localizes to the extracellular space and extracellular matrix, and the kit is classified within the Immunology research area.
