Human SPON2/Spondin-2 ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA, double-antibody assay from Assay Genie designed for the quantification of human Spondin-2 (SPON2). The kit is configured as a colorimetric ELISA for use with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, with stored components kept at 2–8°C for 12 months.

Performance characteristics stated by the manufacturer include a sensitivity of 9.375 pg/mL, a working range of 15.625–1000 pg/mL, and linearity across dilutions of 85–105% for serum, 82–101% for EDTA plasma, and 80–100% for heparin plasma. Spike-and-recovery values are reported as 85–104% (average 97%) for serum, 89–100% (average 93%) for EDTA plasma, and 87–105% (average 99%) for heparin plasma.

The procedural workflow involves equilibrating reagents and TMB substrate, a 90-minute primary incubation at 37°C, a 60-minute biotinylated detection antibody step, a 30-minute HRP-streptavidin (SABC) incubation, 10–20 minutes of TMB color development in the dark, and absorbance measurement at 450 nm after adding stop solution. Included components comprise a dismountable ELISA microplate, lyophilized standard, 100X biotin-labeled antibody, 100X HRP-streptavidin conjugate, TMB substrate, sample, antibody and SABC dilution buffers, stop solution, 25X wash buffer, plate sealers, and a technical manual.
