Human Sphingosine 1-phosphate receptor 5 (S1PR5) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie designed to quantify human Sphingosine 1-phosphate receptor 5 (S1PR5) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids. The assay has a detection range of 78-5000pg/mL and a sensitivity of 30pg/mL, with an intra-assay CV of 3.9% and inter-assay CV of 9.3%. Recovery in serum averages 101% (range 95-107%) and in plasma averages 103% (range 97-109%). The kit recognises both natural and recombinant human S1PR5.

S1PR5, also known as EDG8, S1P receptor Edg-8, S1P receptor 5 and endothelial differentiation G-protein-coupled receptor 8, is a multi-pass G-protein coupled receptor located in the cell membrane. It binds the bioactive lysophospholipid sphingosine 1-phosphate (S1P) and signals through the G(i/0)alpha and G(12) subclass of heteromeric G-proteins. The receptor has been linked to cell migration, proliferation and immune responses, and its dysregulation has been implicated in cancer, inflammation and autoimmune disorders, making it a target of research interest.
